Similar in flavor to its cousin (our hot smoked sablefish), this cold smoked product is seafood lover’s dream. With its lightly smoked flavor, these fillet portions are more luscious, sit-down-meal-type experience and less of an appetizer or snack. Even though it has been smoked, this cold smoked sablefish will need to be cooked beforehand. We usually bake a fillet portion at 400 degrees until it splits open slightly and rich juices begin to flow. Perfect dinner meal for someone who is looking for something incredibly rich in omega-3s, but also goes great with boiled, baked or mashed potatoes.
Packages of the cold smoked sablefish fillet portions range between 0.5 and 0.9 pounds. Expect to see roughly 4-6 vacuumed sealed packages in a 3-pound share; and, roughly 8-11 vacuumed sealed packages in a 6-pound share.
